April, my birthday month. Reflecting on it, I can't remember the last time I truly did something special for myself on my birthday. This year, however, feels different. I’ve been making significant progress on my music production, and it feels incredibly rewarding.
I've written two new songs that I believe are some of my strongest work yet. The first track, tentatively titled "The Witches of Ash," has a fantastic ending verse. I took a weak chorus and transformed it into something unforgettable. This track feels complete, a rarity for me. A huge part of that success is thanks to my partner Jude, who contributed backing vocals that greatly enhanced the song’s mood and atmosphere.
The second track, currently called "Evelyn Came Out of the Grave," draws loose lyrical inspiration from the Italian film by Emilio Miraglia. This one, I believe, has real potential to be a single. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m confident it will come together beautifully. The ending promises a unique spookiness that I think listeners will love. I anticipate a few more days of tweaking to get it just right.
On another exciting note, it looks like we’ll be moving in July. The new place will offer more space for recording and working on my projects. It’s a change that couldn’t come at a better time.
Here's to new beginnings, both in music and in life.
